Privacy Policy

PlayTrova (“we”) runs the website at https://playtrova.com. We built it so that you can play without telling us anything about yourself. This page explains exactly what data exists and where it goes.

1. No accounts, no personal information

You never need to create an account or give us your name, email address, age or location to play. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

2. Your progress stays on your device

Your level, coins, stars, achievements, daily results, settings, saved games and the optional nickname you type are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. They are not sent to us. You can copy them as a “progress code” to move them to another device, or erase them at any time on the Profile page. Clearing your browser data also erases them.

3. Playing with a friend online

When you invite a friend with a link, the two browsers connect directly to each other (peer-to-peer, using WebRTC). To find each other they use a free public connection service (PeerJS), which briefly handles a random room code and the technical network addresses needed to connect, as any website connection does. Only game moves and a fixed set of emoji reactions are exchanged — there is no chat and no nickname is shared. We don't store any of it.

4. Advertising and cookies

To keep PlayTrova free we may show ads provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and to measure them, based on your visits to this and other websites. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland) we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time. You can learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com. Ads are never shown in the middle of a game or next to game controls.

5. Basic site statistics

We may use privacy-friendly, aggregated statistics (such as how many people visited a page) to understand which games are popular. These statistics do not identify you.

6. Children

PlayTrova is a general-audience site designed to be safe for the whole family. Children can play without sharing any information. If you believe a child has somehow sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights

Because your game data lives on your device, you are always in control of it: you can view, export or delete it from the Profile page. For questions about ads or cookies, or any privacy request, email [email protected].

8. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
